Using Voice Mail

Voice Mail Instructions

Designed for push-button simplicity.

Setting Up Your Voice Mailbox

Your USER TUTORIAL will help you set up your Message Center. Before entering your Voice Mailbox, think of a 4-digit passcode and a greeting you wish for your callers to hear.

To enter your Voice Mailbox for the first time.

From your phone:

  1. Dial 555

  2. Enter "temporary" passcode 1234

From any phone:

  1. Dial 296-1400
  2. Enter your phone number, plus *
  3. Enter "temporary" passcode 1234

When finished you will have:

  • Set your own passcode.
  • Recorded your greeting.
  • Recorded your name.

Entering Your Voice Mailbox

To enter your Voice Mailbox from another line not equipped with Voice Mail:

  1. Dial 209-296-1400 and enter your phone number plus*.

  2. Enter your 4-digit secret passcode.

To enter your Voice Mailbox from your home/business line:

  1. Dial 555 and then your secret passcode.

  2. Change Ring Count

  3. *94 Then number of rings.

How Do You Know If You Have A Message?

From your home phone/business line:

  1. Lift Handset

  2. "Stutter" dial tone indicates a new message is waiting.

Playing A Message

  • Enter your Voice Mailbox. (see: Entering Your Mailbox)

  • Press 7 to play the message.

  • Listen to the message.

  • Press:

    5 to keep the message

    3 to discard the message

    7 to review the message

  • Reminder: When playing a message, press:

  • * to move backward 5 seconds.

  • # to move forward 5 seconds.

  • Reminder: Always press 9 to exit.

  • Your USER OPTIONS are accessed by pressing 8

  • The available options include:

    Recording your Greeting 4

    Recording your Name 6

    Setting your passcode 7
